Sagar Dharel

Sagar Dharel is an electrical engineer with an M.Sc. in Power System Engineering and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at Kathmandu University. An aspiring researcher in the power and energy sector, Mr. Dharel brings over 10 years of professional experience, having served as an academician, consultant, and research engineer in various organizations in Nepal. As the Project Manager at the National Mini and Micro Hydro Users Society Nepal (NAMHUS), he is leading micro hydro grid connection projects, driving efforts to integrate these renewable energy resources into the national grid and enhance energy access in rural communities.

Previously, Mr. Dharel worked with several organizations, providing technical expertise in project development, research, and innovation. His core areas of interest include energy security, power system planning and operation, resilience, and flexibility. Additionally, he has a strong focus on clean cooking solutions in Nepal, contributing to numerous studies and projects in this area.
